The Android app is built to send locations over T-Mobile's T-Satellite direct-to-cell service—not Starlink Wi-Fi or a hotspot—and it works over ordinary connections too. Requires a compatible phone, eligible service, outdoor satellite coverage, and satellite-ready app data.
Optimized, not guaranteed.
The app marks itself as satellite-optimized, accepts constrained networks, and keeps traffic minimal through durable offline queues, compressed batches, and backoff. Satellite service can still be delayed, limited, interrupted, or unavailable.
Privacy by possession
No public track directory.
Each track has separate private capabilities for reporting and viewing. The Android app keeps the reporting capability; you choose whether to share the private viewing link.
Treat the viewing link like a key.
Anyone who receives it can view that track. Links are never published on this homepage, indexed for discovery, or included in cross-origin tile requests, and track pages disable browser caching and search indexing.
